The Tin Pan Troubadours
Both veterans of the Montreal trad jazz scene. Colin Perry and Stony Loner have over fifty years of combined experience playing the music of the golden age of jazz. Together they present a program of familiar and obscure songs from the birth of the recording industry, when jazz, blues, and country musicians met in the studio to play any song they could get their hands on. Sharing vocal duties, these two seasoned frontmen complement each other perfectly and breathe new life into these old songs. Backed by the ace musicianship of Blanche Moisan-Methe on cornet and tuba, and Thomas Daudlin on bass and c-melody saxophone, the band doesn’t simply recreate the music of the jazz age, they bring it back to life with the energy and excitement that it deserves.
