The Tin Pan Troubadours
Veterans of the Montreal traditonal jazz scene, the Tin Pan Troubadours bring years of experience to their interpretations of the golden age of jazz. Colin Perry, Louis Levesque, Blanche Moisan-Methe, and Thomas Daudlin present a program of familiar and obscure songs from the birth of the recording industry, when you could find Eddie Lang and Louis Armstrong in the recording studio with singers from all styles of music. Sharing vocal duties, these seasoned musicians complement each other perfectly and breathe new life into old songs. Their repertoire draws from the Great American Songbook, and from the obscure corners of early American music. The band doesn’t simply recreate the music of the jazz age, they bring it back to life with vim, vigor, and aplomb.
