A chance meeting between Colin Perry and pianist Peter Mika at a loft party in 1998 led to one of the longest running regular gigs in Montreal history. After a nearly 26 year long residency at Barfly, the two musicians have developed a deep rapport as they play long, intricate lines together and “finish each other’s sentences”. With a supporting cast of some of Montreal’s best musicians, the duo continues to evolve as it digs deeper into the jazz music of the 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s.
